Last weekend didn't invite me to do anything in the garden. It began on friday with mixed weather, one minute the sun was shining bright and next minute we got a heavy hailstorm. The garden where for a monent covered in white.

So what to do on a rainy day? I desided to clean the kitchen windows (now we're even abel to see out) and put up clean curtains. The tablecloth doesn't fit in with those curtains so I'll better change that to =)

On the table I've put the flowerpot I got from my "son in law" for my birthday.

Moss, ivy and a nice pumpkin - I like that!

We can feel that autumn is here to stay and it's time to make it cosy inside. I pulled out my Mexican oven and put some candles inside it. I've filled the oven with rough sand (that's ment to be used in an aquarium) and always use candle in the oven. We've never made a real fire in it.

The coffeetable also got a clean cloth and the zink house (bought at Tivoli in Copenhagen)
That evening I was home alone and made it cosy for myself infront of the tv. I did put a lantern in the window to. I think it looks so cosy and welcoming when ther's a candle burning in the window.

The weekends cold and rainy weather enticed the colourse of fall into my garden. The ivy in my basked looks so beautiful!
The Catsura hade shanged colour and when i got home this tuesday it stod there glowing in the garden.
Even the small hedge of Spirea betulifolia what we have, have changed costume.

Neat, neat...

Today I hope that it will be possible to mow the lawn (I hope it'll stop growing soon) Then I'd need to look over the beds (for the last time I hope) for weeds. The walnuts have to be picked, the pots needs to be moved inside. My potted Japanese maples, olives, figs and lager will be put inside the greenhous and the Brugmansias have to stand in the garage. The rest will probably be put at the compost.

Then I have to deside what to do with the plants in our "nursery". How am I supposted to make them survive the vinter? I'm thinking of if they could be put close together in the raised veggiegarden beds - could that work?
